I know it’s not a favorite of everybody in the family, but I think it’s good to spend a few minutes thinking about the person’s you’re getting ready to give a gift to, to write some personal words about the recipient. I wasn’t too wild about poetry when I was in elementary school. Actually chose to write dictionary for a week rather than do poetry when I was in fourth grade! But, I still think this is a great activity to introduce to Elementary students, or even high school students! Good post!
